The Wood’s SMF Filter is a unique, high-efficiency anti-mold and air-cleaning filter designed for Wood’s DS, ED, TDR, SW, DK, and LD series dehumidifiers. It is included with all models that contain an “F” in their model number, as well as the newer LD-series units.

Unlike regular dehumidifier filters, the SMF filter is engineered to trap mold spores, pollen, dust, and harmful particles that are released when drying damp basements, laundry rooms, garages, and storage areas. This gives your home a cleaner, healthier indoor environment — not just drier air.

By capturing dust and airborne debris, the SMF filter also protects your dehumidifier from dirt buildup, which is the leading cause of mechanical failure in home appliances. Because the SMF significantly reduces wear and extends machine life, Wood’s offers up to 6 years of extended warranty when the filter is replaced at least once per year and the dehumidifier is registered on Wood’s website.

Using SMF with Older Dehumidifiers

Even if your Wood’s dehumidifier was sold before 2012 (and did not originally include an SMF filter), it can still be upgraded with the SMF system. You simply need to add the metal filter frame, allowing the filter to mount correctly.
(Note: Extended warranty does not apply to older upgraded units.)
